UM SO YEAH I caved, I thought this would be fun and I love being helpful c:


A few things
PRACTICE makes PERFECT, don't expect to be a master at pet art after looking at this
Some things I did not mention in the tutorial as I don't want to give everything away as some things you must learn yourself with practice

This tutorial can be used in both SAI and Photoshop, as they run relatively the same.. I just prefer SAI

and one last thing to keep in mind..
Look at the time in the corner to see approximately how long each part takes me. Never rush things.. take your time to make them as perfect as you can!
I may be quicker then you because I have had a years experience~

Around $50, which is so much cheaper then Photoshop, yet they are both just as great as each other c:

Would perhaps creating a layer over the base color with a screen or overlay mode, or a lower opacity help in getting the first shade?
